Ilkeston Town - help needed!

Hi guys,

Apologies for the rather begging tone of this post but needs must!

If anyone isn't going away to Colwyn Bay and is at a loose end on Saturday we would be delighted to welcome you down at Ilkeston Town for our local derby vs Eastwood Town (3.00pm kick-off).

You may have heard that Ilson are in big financial trouble and we are facing a court date on September 8th that could see the club wound up. Saturday may be the last game in the clubs history. If we can get a really big crowd for this game though it may buy us some time and we may stand a chance.

The game itself should be a good one with a good local derby atmosphere.

As it's non-league day if by any chance you are a Forest, Derby or Notts season ticket holder or have a matchday ticket from a Forest, Derby or Notts game this season then entrance price is reduced to £8 Adults and £3 Kids / OAP's

Normal entrance will cost £10 for adults and £5 for kids and OAP's.

Anyone who can make it would be greatly appreciated and warmly welcomed and you may play your part in saving our football club. Feel free to wear your Hucknall colours!

Cheers

First one of the season for me, and I was entertained.

Thought we got it a bit wrong first half and somewhat played into their hands by hoofing it a bit. Second we were the better side and if only we had a player like Danny Bacon in his pomp up front we'd have romped home. We got into some really good positions only for the final ball to be lacking. I'm sure we'll do well this season as I can only see the team improving with experience. We'll have blips along the way but patience is the thing.

Their first was a massive deflection and we took it on the chin as they had IMHO their best spell for the following ten minutes, but, we weathered it and were tanacious enough to get ourselves back in it with two well worked goals, however we managed to squander the lead within 20seconds. Never mind we still pressed on and the endevour was there for all to see.

Overall. despite people saying it was our least impressive perfomance so far this season they were still well optimistic and I too feel the same.

Well done lads, I think we've a promising season ahead of us.
COME ON YOU YELLOWS.

This could be a good game. Both teams come into this game on a high. Hucknall beating Buxton 4-0 away. But we are playing really good football at the moment, have made a good start and overall look a decent team for this division. I think we will have too much for you lot.

Vics 3 - 1 Hucknall
Attendance - 502 (I would love to think that we could touch the 500 mark after our performance on Tuesday, so let's hope a few who were there encourage someone else to come) Away following?
